Tomaz Druml
Aug 31, 2018·Nordic CombinedIt was no wonder Tomaz Druml ended up doing a sport professionally as the third of five sibligns was born into a very active family and had his first contacts with all different kinds of sports as early as three years old. One thing that stuck with him was ski jumping which he started at age five on the 5-metre-hill in his neighbouring town of Achomitz. As he also loved cross-country skiing, the final sport of choice was easy to find.
"My school life, I associate with double stress. It was very demanding to perform well in both, school and sports", Druml writes on his website. "Nevertheless, I graduated from high school in 2007 and became a Junior World Champion." Druml also made his World Cup debut in Lahti in 2006 and has been competing in the World Cup ever since, doing pretty much the full World Cup winter since 2008. In his spare time, he liked to ride the bike, climb, surf and movies as well as music.
