With a delay of two weeks due to the cancelled events in Otepää (EST), the Ladies’ Continental Cup debut is finally here: the first events will now take place in conjunction with the men’s Continental Cup events in Rena, Norway. The weather situation and forecast could not be more different:

“Rena has a lot of natural snow, approximately 60 cm in the terrain and 30 cm in the prepared jumping hill and cross country track. The conditions in both venues are really good at the moment.”, snow controller Øistein Lunde of the Norwegian Ski Federation reports.

14 ladies and 51 men are entered in the two events on the HS 111 and at Rena Idrettspark Cross Country arena that will take place according to the following schedule (CET):

Saturday

10:00 Trial Round

11:00 Competition Round Ladies, followed by Men

14:00 Ladies’ Cross-Country Race 5 km

14:20 Men’s Cross-Country Race 10 km

Sunday

09:00 Trial Round

10:00 Competition Round Ladies, followed by Men

13:00 Ladies’ Cross-Country Race 5 km

13:20 Men’s Cross-Country Race 10 km

The same positive report was given for the Nordic Combined TRIPLE in Seefeld. Snow controller Rainer Eberlein was happy to state that “the winter is at home in Seefeld with an abundance of snow. All sporting facilities are already prepared and have been in use for OPA Alpencup events. The Nordic Combined World Cup can safely travel to Seefeld.”
