The German Ski Federation has announced the home team for the Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup in Klingenthal. Superstar and local hero Eric Frenzel, who was already sitting out the cross-country races in Trondheim (NOR) due to first signs of a cold is not on the roster for the upcoming weekend.

Head coach Hermann Weinbuch: “We are looking forward to our home World Cup in Klingenthal. Unfortunately, Eric Frenzel has to sit the weekend out due to an influenzal infection that started in Trondheim. On the plus side, Terence Weber is healthy again and will be on start. As always in the Vogtlandarena, we expect many spectators who support us in a very loud way. We can use this in Klingenthal as the jumping hill is one of the most difficult ones on the tour. Also the track is demanding but starts and ends in the outrun of the hill. This makes the World Cup very compact, which is great for athletes and spectators. We have been on the podium in all of the last events and want to fight for the podium or the victory in Klingenthal, too.”

Starting in Klingenthal will be:
- Manuel Faißt
- Vinzenz Geiger
- Fabian Rießle
- Johannes Rydzek
- Terence Weber

National Group:
- Martin Hahn
- Simon Hüttel
- Luis Lehnert
- David Mach
- Julian Schmid
- Wendelin Thannheimer
