The Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup will be back in action right before Christmas with two last event in 2018, taking place in Ramsau am Dachstein (AUT) on the 22nd and 23rd of December.

Snow Controller Robert Krautgartner gave the green light after an inspection today. There is sufficient snow on the competition facilities, which are already open for training and at another snow depot.

The hill has been fully prepared already with the cooling system in operation and the track set in an ice block. The outrun and landing slope has been prepared with an underground of snow 20–25 cm of artificial now and it is covered with 50-60 cm of natural snow. Machine-made snow and natural snow were mixed after the recent snowfall. Everything is compact and hard.

Also on the cross-country track 20 –25 cm of artificial snow form the basis and are covered with 50-60 cm of natural snow. The track is compact and hard.

The temperatures are currently in the minus degrees, so snow production is ongoing.

The facilities have already been used for national competition activity with the Austria Cup and Deutschland Pokal making a stop in Ramsau. A Cross-country FIS race has been held on the World Cup Course as well.
