The Viessmann Nordic Combined World Cup events in Klingenthal (GER) are secure. Today’s official snow control confirmed that there is sufficient snow to host the two Individual Gundersen events on schedule on the first weekend of February.

Snow Controller Rudi Tusch: “After conferring with Head of the Organising Committee, Alexander Ziron, I can confirm that the snow levels are secure and managable and that the events can be held as planned.”

In the past weeks, Klingenthal had to battle with huge amounts of snow. About 50 centimetres of snow covered the spectator ranks and inrun tower, as well as the parking lot in front of the media tent. Many volunteers and ski club members worked tirelessly to clean the Vogtlandarena of the white gold. Currently, the 2 km cross-country and ski jumping hill are being prepared and all other necessary preparations are under way.
