Nordic Combined remains in Northern Europe | FIS Nordic Combined

Ruka Tour winner Akito Watabe and his main contenders for the World Cup overall title will be moving from Finland to Norway. A Team Event and a Gundersen LH will take place at the Lillehammer's Birkebeineren Ski stadium. Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
