Nordic Combined stars back in action in Finland | FIS Nordic Combined

The 2017/18 Nordic Combined World Cup already starts on a very high note with the newly-created Ruka Tour: three days of competitions are held in the Finnish resort and the obtained World Cup points will be counted together to produce a first mini-tour winner. Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
