Nordic Combined stars move to Chaux-Neuve | FIS Nordic Combined

Countdown has just started ahead of this week Nordic Combined World Cup stage on the French soil. Chaux-Neuve, a regular stop since 1996, will host a Gundersen LH and a Team competition on Jan. 20-21. Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
