The 2018 OWG are already in the record books and the World Cup circuit returns to Finland with a Team Sprint on Saturday followed by a Gundersen LH on Sunday. Akito Watabe and Jan Schmid will battle out for key World Cup points Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
