Nordic Combined World Cup Tour heads to Norway | FIS Nordic Combined

A single Gundersen Large Hill competition will take place in Oslo on Saturday, March 10th as part of the traditional Holmenkollen Skifestival. Japan's Akito Watabe leads the overall rankings with local idol Jan Schmid 51 points adrift. Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
