What the Oscars are to the film industry, the Nordic Combined Awards are to the discipline of Nordic Combined. This edition of "Behind the Scenes" casts some more light on the inner workings on the discipline's award show and its big night out in Schonach. Red carpet appearances included. Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
