Aug 23, 2018·Nordic CombinedFirst up in our series "Road to PyeongChang": a little round of pantomime with our Olympic athletes. We asked Eric Frenzel, Johannes Rydzek, Jørgen Graabak, Espen Andersen, Miroslav Dvorak, Francois Braud, Mario Seidl, Alessandro Pittin, Kristjan Ilves and Akito Watabe to react to three scenarios with using words. Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
