Snow Control for COC Finals in Nizhny Tagil positive

The Nordic Combined Continental Cup athletes will be able to enjoy their big season finals in Nizhny Tagil (RUS) as planned.

Snow Controller Nadya Bozhko:

“I would like to report that snow situation in Nizhny Tagil is positive and hills (K-120 and K-90) and CC course are ready for event. The hills are covered with artificial snow  (35 cm of snow depth on landing slope). The courses on course (45 cm snow depth) are a mix of artificial and natural snow.”

The weather forecast for the weekend is positive as well with cold weather and -3 to -6 degrees Celsius and no precipitation.

For the men, an Ind. Gundersen 5 km, a Mass Start and a Final Ind. Gundersen with 2 jumps and 15 km of skiing are on schedule, while the ladies will compete in two Ind. Gundersen 5 km events and the first-ever Mass Start for ladies on the Continental Cup from the 8th to the 10th of March.
