A team of 13 Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined athletes has been named to the 2019 World Championship Team that will compete later this month in Seefeld, Austria. Selection was made based on world rankings throughout the season.

Five men qualified for the Nordic Combined team.  Taylor Fletcher will arrive in Seefeld as one of the best skiers in the nordic combined field. “With a good day on the ski jumping hill, a lot is possible,” said Nordic Combined Coach Jan Matura.

Jasper Good and Ben Loomis both will enter World Championships with Olympic experience under their belt. “It’s a team with a couple younger guys who have never been at the Championships, so it’s an exciting time for them,” says Head Coach Martin Bayer.

The younger guys are Jared Shumate, who just notched a ninth place finish at the Junior World Championships, and Grant Andrews who has enjoyed some success on the Continental Cup. “Each guy has something to bring to the table and this team has a lot of good momentum right now,” said Bayer. That momentum includes multiple top 30 World Cup finishes in the last two weeks for Fletcher, Good, and Loomis, as well as a tenth place finish for youngster Jared Shumate at the Junior World Championship.
