60 officials meet at Nordic Combined TD Seminar in Wisla (POL)
Jun 17, 2019·Nordic CombinedLast weekend, 60 Nordic Combined Technical Delegates reunited for their bi-annual meeting. The seminar was hosted by the Polish Ski Association and Nordic Combined Committee member Jakub Michalczuk, Faustyna Malik and Polish Ski Association Secretary General Jan Winkiel who welcomed the group to Wisla.
In the course of the two-day meeting, the Technical Officials went over rule changes for the upcoming season, discussed critical cases from the last season and dedicated special attention to rule infractions, sanctions and disqualifications. Different sessions were led by Günter Csar, Chairman of the Sub-Committee for Officials, Rules and Control and TD Marco Zarucchi (SUI) and time was also spent on group work and presentations.
Updates, case studies, and practical work at the Adam Malysz jumping hill in Wisla Malinka were also on the schedule.
The FIS Nordic Combined competition management presented reports on the last season and discussed trends and developments of the sport. Eight candidates from six established and new nations: Germany, Estonia, China, Latvia, Poland and Slovenia took the TD examination and were licensed as new officials for Nordic Combined.
A dinner courtesy of the Mayor of Wisla and a social evening with the traditional “Club Last Viking” meeting and evening was also part of the programme that saw officials from 14 nations reunited.
