Finding new superlatives for the ski jumping performance of the Norwegian team in the FIS Continental Cup is almost impossible. With a jump on 138.5 metres (135.5 p.) the winner was Harald Riiber once again. However, his teammates wouldn’t make it so easy on him this time. Simen Tiller landed at the same distance (138.5 metres, 135.2 p.) and only had a deficit of 1 second. Sindre Ure Soetvik (138 metres, 132.6 p.) and Lars Ivar Skaarset (138.5 metres, 131 p.) followed on rank three and four.

The Russian team used the World Cup-free weekend for a short pit stop in the Continental Cup – with success. Ernest Yahin was fifth after jumping (132 metres, 117.2 p.), Austria’s Continental Cup newcomer Florian Kolb (130.5 metres, 117.1 p.) ended up on rank six.

During the cross country race, the four Norwegians in front split into two groups: Riiber and Tiller stayed together, followed by Soetvik and Skaarset. In the end Riiber was able to beat his teammate Tiller in an exciting finish sprint and Soetvik was also able to put a few metres between himself and Skaarset.

Germany’s Jakob Lange was 14th after the jumping part with a disadvantage of +1:58. He once again proved that he is one of the best cross-country skiers and got closer and closer to the Norwegians during the race. At the finish line he was right behind Soetvik and Skaarset but couldn’t quite close the gap due to the great teamwork of the Norwegians. So in the end he finished on rank five with the fastest cross-country time, followed by Jan Vytrval from Czech Republic, who also showed a great cross-country performance on sixth. Manuel Einkemmer (AUT), Rok Jelen (SLO), Aguri Shimizu (JPN) and Aleksander Skoglund (NOR) completed the top ten.
