Behind the four first athletes, a bigger gap opened before Paul Gerstgraser finished fifth, +1:01.6 after the winner. Aleksander Skoglund, Martin Hahn, Justin Moczarski, Samuel Mraz and Ben Loomis completed the Top Ten, jumping winner Yahin finished eleventh.

“Jumping was kind of a struggle in the trial round. I tried to do better in the competition and had a pretty good jump, 125,5 meters. I tried to start pretty fast to get clear of the other guys and then tried to reduce the speed in the last round to save some energy for tomorrow”, Lange said after his race.

With his fifth season victory, Jakob Lange continues to lead in the the Nordic Combined Continental Cup Standings before the seconds event in Lahti.
