Green light for Christmas World Cup in Ramsau am Dachstein

Today’s Snow Control for the last World Cup of 2019 in Ramsau am Dachstein (AUT) was positive. Snow Controller Robert Krautgartner reported that sufficient amounts of snow are covering the sports facilities and are stored in two additional depot at the jumping hill and on the top of the course. With current temperatures in the minus degrees, snowmaking is ongoing.

Jumping Hill:
The inrun is an ice block with the track milled in and the cooling system fully operational. The landing slope and outrun are covered with 100% artificial snow with a depth of 30 to 35 cm. Everything is compact and hard.

Course and Stadium:
The entire course and the stadium are covered with 100% artificial snow with a depth of 30 to 40 cm. Everything is compact and hard.

Both sports facilities have been used for training since December 7th. Next week, an Austria Cup event is scheduled to take place on the the same sports facilities as the Nordic Combined World Cup.
