Gyda Westvold Hansen (NOR)

Norwegian Gyda Westvold Hansen mastered Oberhof’s HS 100 hill best in today’s Provisional Competition Round. After crashing in Oberwiesenthal and sitting some of the following competitions out to recover, Westvold Hansen set a solid jump of 97 metres. 126.8 points put her on top of the result list, +0:27 seconds ahead of runner-up Stefaniya Nadymova, who set 95 metres (120.0 p.). Klingenthal PCR winner Thea Minyan Bjørset claimed the third position with 95 metres and 114.1 points. If the PCR has to be used during the weekend, she would start with a disadvantage of 51 seconds at the start.

Veronica Gianmoena captured a fourth position with 90 meters but would only take up the race one minute and 33 seconds after Westvold Hansen. Summer Grand Prix leader Tara Geraghty-Moats and fast skier Anastasia Goncharova followed on position five and six with 88.5 and 92 metres. They would go out on the track with handicaps of one minute and 56 seconds and two minutes and two seconds.

Germany’s Jenny Nowak, Marte Leinan Lund (NOR), Eva Hubinger (AUT) and Lisa Hirner completed the Top Ten.
