Norwegian team veteran Magnus Krog broke his wrist during the cross-country race of the second Individual Gundersen competition in Trondheim and will be sidelined for an indefinite amount of time, depending on the healing process.

The 32-year-old, who had just recovered from an injury to his neck sustained in a crash on the jumping hill during the Norwegian championships in Falun in November, was caught off-balance during the race and put his pole down hard in the snow to prevent himself from falling. In the process, all his bodyweight came to rest on his hand and he fractured a bone in his wrist. He still completed seven kilometres of the race despite the pain and was diagnosed with the fracture after the race.
