Nordic Organisers meet and mingle in Seeboden
Sep 30, 2019·Nordic CombinedSeeboden (AUT), the home town of FIS Ski Jumping Race Director Walter Hofer was the location of a big get together of all Nordic Organisers last weekend.
80 delegates from Cross-Country, Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping World Cup Organising Committees convened in Austria to receive the latest updates from FIS, to hear presentations on different aspects of event organisation and to interact with colleagues to exchange knowledge and experience.
A welcome dinner presented by the Mayor of Seeboden was the ideal starter to get to know the Nordic Organiser colleagues and FIS staff in an informal environment.
The following day featured presentations with topics including ‘Green Events’ with FIS Alpine World Championships 2019 host Åre (SWE) as an example and ‘Data Protection Regulations’. Planica’s Tomi Trbovic presented their snow production strategy and the last presentation was held by Infront’s Jan Trautmann on the “FIS digital platform and its opportunities for World Cup organisers”.
The afternoon was spent with short product updates from FIS partners, as well FIS news and discipline-specific updates. Joint informal coffee and lunch breaks provided ample opportunity to talk and exchange opinions and experiences again between the three disciplines.
