Jarl Magnus Riiber has proven yet again how good he really is on the jumping hill this year and set a dominant victory in the PCR on his home hill in Oslo (NOR). 130.5 metres gave Riiber a point total of140.2 points and if the Provisional Competition Round has to be used in case of adverse weather conditions tomorrow, he would start a full one minute and seven seconds ahead of his training group member Kristjan Ilves from Estonia.

Ilves showed 129.5 metres in better conditions are therefore only amassed 123.5 points. He was closely followed by Germany’s Manuel Faißt (126 m, 121.4 p.) and would start his race eight seconds after Ilves. Ryota Yamamoto and Akito Watabe were a Japanese duo on positions four and five (+1:17 and +1:22) and Espen Andersen was happy about a very decent jump of 126 metres and the sixth position.

The Top Ten were completed by newly-minted Junior World Champion Jens Lurås Oftebro on position seven, Go Yamamoto on eight, Lukas Greiderer on nine and Sindre Ure Søtvik on ten.

The fast skiers jumping in the Top Ten of the World Cup standings were hit with tough tailwind conditions. Out of them, Ilkka Herola was the best on position 16 and would start with a delay of one minute and 52 seconds. Fabian Rießle followed from rank 22 (+2:14), while Jørgen Graabak was only 25th (+2:41) and needs a better result tomorrow to go for the podium. His closest rival, Vinzenz Geiger, was hit even harder and ranked only 36th with 104.5 metres.
