After a well-deserved break after an intense winter, not only the Austrian team has kicked off their season preparation. Most of the Nordic Combined teams have started into their summer training by now and the following round-up gives you and overview of who started where with what.

Czech Republic
The team around Tomas Portyk started with summer jumping on the small hills in the jumping complex of Kaml, close to Harrachov. The team then moved to Planica (SLO) to train on bigger hills.

Poland
Szczepan Kupczak, Adam Cieslar and Co. started off their season with a fitness test at the Sport Institute in Warsaw. Tomasz Pochwala is following in Danny Winkelmann’s footsteps as coach and with him, the team spent two days seaside in Cetniewo before heading to Ramsau am Dachstein for some glacier skiing. The first jumping training will take place at the beginning of June.

France
After the retirements of Maxime Laheurte and Francois Braud, the young French team is starting into their first season preparation without their veterans. Antoine Gerard, Laurent Muhlethaler, Theo Rochat, Gael Blondeau and Edgar Vallet started off their season the way they ended the previous one: on snow. A training training camp took place under the supervision of coaches Etienne Gouy and Alex Mougin at Cormet de Roselend and Le Beaufortain and contained sessions on skis, gymnastics and specific preparation training for jumping.

Germany
While other teams trained on snow, Eric Frenzel, Johannes Rydzek, Fabian Rießle, Vinzenz Geiger, Manuel Faißt, Julian Schmid and team staff started their season by spending a week at sunny Mallorca to collect some kilometres on their bikes.

USA
The team around veteran Taylor Fletcher has also kicked off their first training camp under new head coach Nick Hendrickson in Bend, Oregon.
