Austrian home team for Ramsau am Dachstein

The Austrian Ski Association has released their teams for the upcoming home World Cup in Ramsau am Dachstein.

For the women, the home competition is also the World Cup premiere, which is why the competition on Friday is of particular importance. The “Nordic weekend” at the foot of the Dachstein is completed by a women's ski jumping competition. By hosting the two Nordic World Cup competitions for women (in addition to the men's competitions that are already taking place), the ÖSV is reacting to the corona-related cancellations in the international competition calendar stepped in as the organizer.

Head coach Bernhard Aicher's women's team has already trained in Ramsau last week. In addition to the first snow jumps, the team also used the optimal cross-country skiing conditions there for extensive units on the World Cup circuit. As preparation for the competition, the athletes will take part in the Austriacup in Eisenerz this weekend, before the four-woman squad will travel to Ramsau on Tuesday.

Last week, the men's team completed a three-day short training course in Ramsau am Dachstein from Thursday to Saturday. Bernhard Gruber trained with the team for the first time after his successful hill comeback. After determining their position during training, the team of coaches decided, in consultation with Gruber, that the home World Cup in Ramsau would be too early.

The line-up therefore includes a total of ten athletes including the national group:
