Back-to-back Alpencup wins after World Cup debut for Kleinrath
Dec 21, 2020·Nordic CombinedSigrun Kleinrath has been the winner of two Alpencup competitions following her fifth place at the Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup premiere for women last Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, Kleinrath competed in Seefeld and set two wins ahead of Slovenia’s Ema Volavsek and Jenny Nowak (GER).
On Saturday, the 16-year-old Austrian claimed the jumping win with 99 metres and started her race 13 seconds ahead of teammate Annalena Slamik (93 metres). Volavsek hit the biggest jump of the day with 102.5 metres and followed three seconds later, while Jenny Nowak also had 99 metres to show for and a delay of 23 seconds.
While Volavsek, who had in turn finished her World Cup debut on rank 16 in Ramsau, was able to reduce the gap to Kleinrath to 5.6 seconds at the finish line, she could not endanger the 16-year-old’s start-finish win in 11:02.8 seconds. Jenny Nowak had the second-fastest time and halved her gap of 23 seconds to 12.1 seconds at the finish line, enough to claim a secure third position.
Slamik finally finished fourth, the rest of the Top Ten positions went to Germans Cindy Haasch, Maria Gerboth, Sophia Maurus, Emily Schneider and Marie Nähring. Lena Prinoth from Italy was tenth.

Ski Jumping Results
On Sunday, Kleinrath topped the ski jumping result list once more and had an even more comfortable lead of 23 seconds after jumping to 106.5 metres. Ema Volavsek showed 102.5 metres again and Jenny Nowak claimed position there with 100.5 metres.
On the track, Kleinrath cruised to the victory and beat Volavsek by 19.7 seconds in the end. The Slovenian had a fast race with the third best time and increased the gap to Jenny Nowak, who finished +0:51 seconds after Kleinrath in the end. Emilia Görlich shot to rank four with the second-fastest time, Cindy Haasch was fifth, Annalena Slamik sixth, Sophia Maurus seventh, Maria Gerboth eighth, Marie Nähring ninth and Lena Prinoth tenth.
