For the first time since the outbreak of the corona pandemic, the Norwegian national Nordic Combined teams have been gathered in Lillehammer and Oslo last week, with the camp being the first for the newly started elite team on the women's side.

Sports Director Ivar Stuan gathered both elite teams for a start-up meeting  and a total of 12 athletes have been in action last week. There were seven athletes on the men's team in addition to Estonian Kristjan Ilves who will follow the Norwegian national team program. On women's side, there were three athletes and Hanna Midtsundstad from the development team joined the camp as an intern.

Both jumping and roller skiing was on the program during the first gathering, and the camp ended with the Norwegian Cup opening in Oslo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

“Finally we get to have the national teams together. The daily training has been going on for several months from home and via the three training centres we have, but now we are finally getting started with the gatherings. We look forward to this”, says Sports Director Ivar Stuan.

The plans for both national teams until the start of the season at Beitostølen in November, are camps in different places in Norway on a regular basis.
