This week, the German Nordic Combined team trained in the Vogtlandarena in Klingenthal and got some practice in for the World Cup weekend planned for February 2021.

Together with new jumping coach Heinz Kuttin, Eric Frenzel, Johannes Rydzek, Manuel Faißt, Terence Weber, Vinzenz Geiger, Julian Schmid and Jakob Lange completed some jumping sessions on the large hill.

Eric Frenzel is happy about his progress so far, as he told MDR Sachsenradio. “With Heinz Kuttin’s new approach to ski jumping, the motivation has changed a lot. You get a different focus, a different stimulation and this makes improving easier again. The first internal team competitions went quite well for me. I know there is more potential in my performance as well.”

Teammate Terence Weber added: “The atmosphere in the team is very good and we all worked a lot of the summer, so that we can go towards the winter optimistically, especially concerning the jumping part”.
