Ivo Pertile will remain in charge of the women’s team, assisted by Francisco Benetti and service staff Veronika Broll. With the Women's World Cup starting next season and also the big debut at the World Ski Championship taking place, the Italian team has been working for a few years on a team of young hopes, who have performed well in the Alpen Cup races, a project led by the expert Ivo Pertile.

"We have been investing in young men and women for about five years”, says the coach from Trentino.  “The birth of a World Cup represents an important first step for the girls, who have gained important experiences in the past season, like the Youth Olympic Games and the Junior World Championships. It’s the intention of the FIS to develop this path in view of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics. In the last two years the growth of the movement has been strong, the start lists have expanded and many nations are investing, like Norway, Japan, Austria and Germany. Italy too has adapted because it was necessary to keep up."

The women's group promises to be varied and with ample room for improvement. "Gianmoena is a bit the mother hen despite being young, because she comes from the world of jumping”, explains Pertile. “She got out of an injury, for this reason she has room for growth. Dejori has done good things in the Alpen Cup, has good potential Sieff has already shown good results in both jumping and combined and has finished second in the Alpen Cup ranking. Lena Prinoth has had surgery on her back for a small defect in growth that has forced her to stop in the last two seasons, now she is gradually recovering and had shown great potential. In team B Greta Pinzani and Martina Zanitzer are making a path of growth and alongside them will grow very young girls like Camilla Comazzi and Asia Marcato, who are part of a path aimed at involving the largest number of athletes for have their skills developed. In the past two years the average level has risen sharply. The watershed moment will be in 2022 when the final decision will be taken whether to promote the women's Nordic Combined in the Olympic program starting from 2026."
