Jenny Nowak and Pascal Müller dominate Deutschlandpokal in Oberhof

The second weekend of the Deutschlandpokal took place in Oberhof on September 18 and 19.

On the women’s side, Jenny Nowak claimed two victories. The first in the Individual Gundersen 5 km on day one of the competition weekend and she beat out her three competitors in the women’s class by 1:17.4 (Svenja Würth, rank 2) and +1:31.1 (Maria Gerboth, rank 3).

Competitions were also held in the categories J16 and J17 with Emilia Görlich claiming the win inJ17, +18.9 second ahead of Cindy Haasch, Emily Schneider was third (+3:29.9). Klara Lebelt won in J16, +58.0 seconds ahead of Trine Göpfert, rank three went to Katharina Hieber (+1:03.3)

On the 20th of September, all women raced an Individual Gundersen 2.8 km together in one big class, and again, Jenny Nowak came out on top. The reigning FIS Junior World Champion beat runner-up Emilia Görlich by 45.7 seconds, rank three went to Cindy Haasch who crossed the finish line +52.2 seconds after Nowak.

On the men’s side, competitions were held in  J16, 17 and 19 categories. Benedikt Gräber claimed two victories in the J16 class with Mika Wunderlich and Richard Stenzel as runners-up on day 1 and 2 as well.

Tristan Sommerfeldt and Hannes Gehring split the victories in the J17 class. On day 1, Simon Kosak and Rafael Fischer completed the podium, while Tristan Sommerfeldd and David Brückl claimed ranks two and three on the second.

Swiss Pascal Müller claimed two victories in the J19 category. On the first day, he beat Jakob Fischer by +35.1 seconds and Simon Mach by +41.7 and on the second day, he snatched the win from Jan Andersen by three seconds and Simon Mach finished third again with +26.5.
