Seidl with home-victory in Villach

Mario Seidl from Austria is the winner of the final competition of the FIS Summer Grand Prix in Villach/Austria.

The Austrian, who also owns blue BIB for Best Jumper, landed at 100 meters and collected a total of 127.2 points at the Ski Jumping round.
Therefore he was the first one to go into the roller ski race this afternoon.

Rank two after Ski Jumping was also taken by Austria, with Oberhofs PCR winner Martin Fritz landing at 97.5 meters (124.7 pts) with a 10 second backlog on his team mate. 
Overall leader Ilkka Herola also reached 97.5 meters and a total of 122.9 points. The owner of the yellow BIB started into the 10 km race 17 seconds after Seidl.

The best jump of the day was performed by Espen Andersen, who reached strong 101 meters (114.1 pts) and rank nine. The Norwegian went into the race with a 52 second backlog on the leader from Austria.

Johannes Rydzek, owner of the red BIB as Best Skier, placed 14th (94 mts, 110.9 pts) and started on roller skis 1:05 minutes after Seidl.

Soon, a leading group formed constinging of Seidl, Herola and Fritz. The roller race came down to a final sprint of the three, as Seidl had most of the grains left and took the victory. In the battle for second place Herola had a touch of the upper hand and crossed the finish line 0.6sec before Martin Fritz.

In the overall standings, Ilkka Herola wins the FIS Summer Grand Prix with 400 points ahead of Mario Seidl (380 points) and the German Johannes Rydzek (275 points).
