3 Questions for Annika Sieff

Jun 25, 2021·Nordic Combined
(c) Nordic Focus

Annika Sieff is one of Italys biggest Nordic Combined talents.
The 17 year-old won two Bronze medals with the Mixed team last season (2020/21), one at the Junior World Ski Championships in Lahti (FIN) and one at the Youth Olympic Winter Games in Lausanne (SUI).
She also won seven OPA competitions in her career and placed 6th at the Women’s Nordic World Ski Championship premier in Oberstdorf (GER).

Look up all of Annikas results here.

1. What do you like most about Nordic Combined?
I think that the best thing about being a Nordic combined athlete is the challenge that we have to face every day. Being able to combine two totally different disciplines in the best way, and consequently also having the opportunity to do many different workouts.

2. One athlete (no matter if male/female, active/retired) you’d love to do a final sprint against?
I think it would be funny to do a final sprint against Jessica Diggins.

3. Do you prefer competing in Summer or Winter and why?
I prefer to compete in winter, for two reasons: One is that I am a lover of cold and snow, so in summer when it is too hot it is always a pain for me (laughs). And two, because most our competitions are in winter, and competing is what makes me happy.
