Austria dominates PCR in Oberhof

The first PCR of the Men’s FIS Summer Grand Prix 2021 took place in Oberhof/Germany.

The athletes had to withstand heavy rain and low temperatures. In the end the Austrian team coped best with the weather conditions and secured a double win.

Martin Fritz won the Provisional round with a jump on 124.5 meters (133.9 pts) ahead of his team mate Mario Seidl (127.1 pts). 
Seidl and Szeczepan Kupczak from Poland both reached the longest distance of the day with 130.5 meters each. 
The third place went to Ilkka Herola from Finland and Lars Ivar Skaarset from Norway. The Silver medal winner of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf jumped 124 meters, while Skaarset reached 128.5 meters, both ending up with a total of 119.3 points.

A strong performance was also shown by Ben Loomis (123.5 m, 118.2 pts) from the United States who finished on a strong 5th place.
