The 2022 U.S. Nordic Combined National Championships took place at the Utah Olympic Park and Soldier Hollow Nordic Center last weekend.

Annika Belshaw (19) wrote history with winning three titles in two days.
The special jumper crowned herself National Champion at the normal and large hill Ski Jumping events on Friday and Saturday.
Just before perfecting her weekend with a victory in the Nordic Combined competition on Saturday evening as well.

Belshaw and Jasper Good (25), both from Steamboat Springs, were in the lead after the morning jump at the Utah Olympic Park.

Good took an 18 second lead into the 10k evening roller ski race at Soldier Hollow, while Belshaw, already Ski Jumping double champion at the time, had a 22 second margin for the women’s 5k event.

The 19 year-old, who came to the event without any previous titles, defended her lead against Annika Malacinski (20) and became the first woman ever to win all three nordic gold medals.

Meanwhile Good was caught in the end of the men’s race by Taylor Fletcher, who was in third place after the jump on the HS134 large hill. The 31 year-old from Steamboat Springs defended his title from two years ago, the last time the event was held, and crowned himself the men’s Nordic combined National Champion.
