FIS presentations at 42nd Forum Nordicum in Bodenmais
Oct 30, 2021·Nordic CombinedAfter a one-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Forum Nordicum was held again. The 42nd edition of the traditional meeting of Nordic sports journalists took place in Bodenmais/Germany this time.
The FIS Race Directors of the three Nordic disciplines, Lasse Ottesen for Nordic Combined, Sandro Pertile for Ski Jumping and Pierre Mignerey for Cross-Country skiing, attended the meeting and gave updates on their sports.
FIS President Johan Eliasch and FIS Secretary General Michel Vion joined via video call to gave an outlook on the future of the International Ski Federation and thanked the media representatives for their work to make Nordic sports better known.
Race Director Nordic Combined Ottesen was present on site and presented the new World Cup calendars for women and men, who will compete together in six venues.
In addition, Ottesen explained the new format of the Seefeld Triple, which is one of the highlights of the season, before giving an update on the venues in Zhangjiakou that will host the Olympic Winter Games 2022.
In addition, Media Coordinator Sophie Hargesheimer informed the media representatives present about the information options on the FIS website and press releases for the coming season.
Forum Nordicum organizer Thorsten vom Wege also welcomed FIS Vice President Roman Kumpost in Bodenmais, who took time to answer the journalists questions regarding the future of Nordic sports.
