Italy announces teams and coaches for 2021/22 season

The president of the Italian Ski Federation, Flavio Roda, formalized the composition of the Nordic Combined teams for the 2021/22 season.

Federico Rigoni announced his resignation as technical director of Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined in early April. The technician of the Carabinieri Sports Center, who has been in charge of the sector for three seasons, informed president Roda of his intention to retire for personal reasons. 
“I thank FISI and the Carabinieri for the great support they have given me in recent years in a demanding and delicate role”, said Rigoni. President Roda thanked him “for his contribution to the whole movement of Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined.”

Sandro Sambugaro will be the new team coordinator, while Ivo Pertile becomes referent coach for both men and women, in addition to his role as head coach for the women’s team.
Danny Winckelmann stays head coach of the men’s team.
