Johannes Lamparter is the winner of the first PCR of the season.

The FIS Nordic Combined World Cup season was opened in Ruka/Finland in winterly atmosphere and cold temperatures.

In -11 degrees Celsius the 58 athletes completed two training rounds before the start of the PCR.
Lamparter coped best with the cold conditions at the infamous Rukatunturi HS142 and took the victory of the first Provisional Competition Round of the season.

The 20 year old jumped to 140 meters and gained 154.7 points which made him take the lead.
Lamparters fellow countryman Mario Seidl, reached the second rank with the furthest jump of the day. The Austrian landed his jump at 142 meters (153.2 pts) and showed his strength on the hill again, after a very successful Summer Grand Prix.

Last seasons overall World Cup winner Jarl Magnus Riiber jumped 141 meters, but lost some points at the landing. The Norwegian, who won the Ruka Tour two times in a row in the last two seasons, took rank 3 in the PCR with 151.2 points.
