Double World Champion Johannes Lamparter had to undergo an appendix surgery last Friday.
After pain in the abdominal area, the 19 year-old was diagnosed with an inflammation of the appendix, which was then surgically removed on Friday evening in the hospital of Hall/Tyrol. The operation went according to plan and the Rumer was able to leave the hospital again today, Monday.

“It's bitter that I got appendicitis. However, it's better to have something like that in preparation now than during the season. Even if it is not optimal and my training rhythm is interrupted during preparation. However, I am glad that everything went well during the operation”, said Lamparter.

While the Austrian has to do without sport and training for at least two weeks, his teammates got on the plane to Salt Lake City (USA) today. The national team is completing a two-week training course in Park City as part of their preparation.
