3 Questions for Yuna Kasai

Overall World Cup 8th, Yuna Kasai, is one of Japan’s best Nordic Combined skiers. The 18-year-old competed in a total of 7 World Cups and reached her best individual results with two 3rd places last season in Otepää (EST) and Ramsau (AUT).

Yuna competed in her first FIS Continental Cup in Eisenerz (AUT) in February 2020 and finished the Mass Start on the 9th place. She made her World Cup debut at the first ever Women's World Cup event in Ramsau (AUT) in December 2020 with rank 14.

Together with her twin sister Haruka, who’s also part of Japans Nordic Combined national team, she lives and trains in Sapporo.

1. What moment of your sports career do you consider the best so far?
The best moment was, when I reached the World Cup podium for the first time in Otepää.

2.What is your favorite place for training and for relaxation on holidays?
I like to relax at home. In my house or my room.

3. If you have time to cook, which meal is your favorite to make?
I enjoy making Japanese Cuisine Omelette Rice.
