Oberstdorf (GER): Lamparter wins PCR, hill record for Rehrl

The Provisional Competition Round for the Men’s FIS World Cup in Oberstdorf (GER) took place today under a blue sky this morning.

47 athletes from 11 nations were on the Start List for two training jumps and the PCR on the Schattenbergschanze HS 137 afterwards.

Johannes Lamparter from Austria reached 135 meters and collected 143.8 points, which brought him the victory of the Provisional Round.

The furthest jump of the day was performed by his team mate Franz-Josef Rehrl (143.5 pts) on rank 2 who set a new hill record with 144.5 meters, after Sigurd Pettersen from Norway held it with 143.5 meters since December 2003.

Local hero Julian Schmid from Germany (136.5 mts, 141.9 pts) placed third in front of his home crowd.
