Confirmation for the Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup in Otepää (EST).

On 30th December the Organizing Committee gave an update regarding the snow conditions in Estonia.

After plus degrees and rain, the temperatures will finally drop at the turn of the year, by which the preparation of the cross-country course and Ski Jumping hill can be finalized.

“We are happy to confirm that the snow situation in Otepää is good”, said Suzanne Tahk from the Estonian Ski Federation. “The snow for the Ski Jumping hill is produced and the hill is ready. There is also enough snow for a 2,5km cross-country track with the width of at least 6 meters according to the ICR. We are experiencing and expecting some little higher plus degrees in the next days but are confident it won't affect the snow situation badly.”

Therefore, the World Cup events from 5th – 8th January 2023 can be held as planned on the HS97 and in the Tehvandi Sport Center stadium.
