The Nordic combined elite will meet this weekend for the 11th TRIPLE in Seefeld (AUT).

For the second time, the women will also hold their World Cup events on the Toni-Seelos-Olympiaschanze and in the 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Championship stadium.

Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber is a two-time TRIPLE winner in the men's category, who demonstrated his current top form with four wins in a row at the last competitions in Oberstdorf (GER) and Schonach (GER).

His previously biggest opponent and last year's TRIPLE winner, Johannes Lamparter from Austria, sat out the World Cup in Schonach due to health reasons, but would definitely like to get back to his old form on home soil.

In addition to Riiber, the Norwegians Joergen Graabak and Jens Luraas Oftebro are also considered hot candidates for a top placement, while Germany is hoping for good results from Manuel Faisst, who came third in Oberstdorf, and Julian Schmid, who came second overall at the TRIPLE 2023.

From Austria, all eyes will be on Stefan Rettenegger, who is currently in second place in the Overall World Cup behind Riiber and has already celebrated six podium finishes this season.

For the women, Ida Marie Hagen will be starting in the yellow bib as World Cup leader and will want to prove her cross-country strength not only at the Individual Gundersen on Friday, but especially at the Individual Compact on Saturday.

The last Compact event of the season will decide about the winner of the Mini-Globe of this special ranking, which Hagen is currently leading.

But her teammates Mari Leinan Lund, who won a competition each in Oberstdorf and Schonach, as well as Gyda Westvold Hansen, are also considered possible candidates for the podium in Seefeld.

From a German perspective, Nathalie Armbruster recently fought her way back onto the podium on home soil in Schonach and, like the Frenchwoman Lena Brocard, who is still waiting for her first World Cup podium finish, has a chance of a top placement.

In addition to the Japanese Haruka Kasai, the Austrian Lisa Hirner will also try to give her best performance in front of the home crowd.
