Czechia and Germany kick-off cooperation

The Czech and German men's national teams completed a joint training camp in Liberec (CZE) last week.

This year, the Czech Ski Association started a cooperation with the German Ski Association on the basis of the “Nations supporting Nations” program, which has already been very fruitful for both the athletes and the coaches.

The first joint camp took place in Hinterzarten in the Black Forest (GER) at the end of June, reported Tomas Slavik, Sports Director for Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping of the Czech Ski Association.

The next camp is scheduled to take place in the fall in order to consolidate the foundations that have now been created together before the start of the World Cup season.

In Liberec, where also the Austrian B team happened to be training at the same time, the athletes jumped on the Ještěd HS 100 and HS 134, while also completing the ski roller sessions together.

In addition, the strength training of the Czech and German athletes was joint, so that the coaches could exchange ideas about processes and approaches to optimize their training.

The cooperation between the two nations is further progress in the development of Nordic Combined and proves the great solidarity and willingness of all nations to work together on a successful future.
