FIS updates at Forum Nordicum in Bad Mitterndorf

The 44th edition of the traditional meeting of Nordic sports journalists took place Bad Mitterndorf (AUT) this week.

The FIS Race Directors of the four Nordic disciplines, Lasse Ottesen for Nordic Combined, Chika Yoshida and Sandro Pertile for Ski Jumping and Michal Lamplot for Cross-Country, as well as Nordic Combined Media Coordinator Sophie Hargesheimer attended the meeting and gave updates on their sports.

During the FIS day at the Forum Nordicum, Ottesen presented the World Cup calendar to the journalists, as well as the new competition formats for Nordic Combined. 
After the Mixed Team Sprint and Individual Compact were successfully tested during Summer Grand Prix, the latter will celebrate its World Cup premiere on the first day of the new season and Ruka (FIN). Additionally, a mini globe will be given out for this special format by the end of the season.

The Race Directors also gave updates on the new Equipment Control procedures of the 3D scanning and fluor testing and took the time to answer specific questions from the journalists present.

Media Coordinator Sophie Hargesheimer took the opportunity to inform the attending media representatives about the FIS website's information options and press releases for the upcoming season. She emphasized the importance of global outreach, seeking support from the media in spreading the news and developments in Nordic Combined to a broader audience.
