The WIRmachenDRUCK German Trophy took place in January 2024 with a total of four Individual events in Oberstdorf and Schonach.

For the first time also the Nordic Combined women could fight for the trophy and extra prize money.

Jarl Magnus Riiber from Norway took the lead in the men’s ranking with his victory at the Individual Gundersen in Oberstdorf, on January 13th.
With a jump on 105 meters (146.4 pts) on the Schattenbergschanze HS106 he placed second at the Ski Jumping competition but skied all the way to the top at the 10 km cross-country race. He won with an exciting finish sprint, only 1 second ahead of Johannes Lamparter from Austria.

In the women’s Individual Gundersen, Mari Leinan Lund celebrated her first World Cup victory in Oberstdorf, after already being in the lead after jumping. With 102.5 meters (140.5 pts) the Norwegian went into the 5 km race first and defended her position until the end. She won ahead of Ida Marie Hagen (+13.5 sec), taking over the German Trophy lead.

On the second competition day, an Individual Compact was on the schedule for both genders.
Riiber secured the lead after jumping with a new hill record of 112.5 meters (143.4 pts) and secured his second victory in a row at the 7.5 km cross-country race, 2.2 seconds ahead of Stefan Rettenegger from Austria. Due to medical reasons, Johannes Lamparter was not on start that day.

In the women’s Compact event, Lund lead the field after the Ski Jumping part with 97.5 meters (133.8 pts), but couldn’t defend the positions against her strong skiing team mate Ida Marie Hagen.
The 23-year-old secured her second World Cup victory and took over the lead in the German Trophy ranking.
