Jarl Magnus Riiber is also the winner of the second competition day in Oberstdorf (GER).

The Norwegian was already in the lead after the Ski Jumping part of the Individual Compact competition on the Schattenberg HS 106 this noon, after setting a new hill record.

In bright sunshine the Norwegian Overall World Cup leader jumped the furthest distance of the day and set a new hill record with 112.5 meters (143.3 pts) in the morning took the lead. Therefore, he was the first one to start into the 7.5 km Compact race this afternoon.

Rank 2 after jumping went to Johannes Lamparter from Austria, who landed at 107 meters (143 pts), placing 6 sec behind Riiber due to the fixed starting times.

Thomas Rettenegger (108 mts, 141.3 pts) placed third, 12 seconds behind the leader.

Due to some health issues yesterday, Johannes Lamparter was not on start in the cross-country race.

Riiber was able to keep the Rettenegger brothers at a distance on the first lap before Stefan Rettenegger caught up with him. Thomas couldn't keep up with the high pace and was overtaken by the large chasing group.

Riiber and Rettenegger went through most of the race together, with Stefan taking the lead.

Meanwhile, the large chasing group, consisting of nine athletes, rushed up from behind.
Julian Schmid led the group and brought them within 21.2 seconds of the leading duo after 5km.

Due to the high pace, the group shrank to five athletes, including the strong skiers Manuel Faisst, Jens Luraas Oftebro, Kristjan Ilves, Terence Weber and Johannes Rydzek.

The German train got the fans in the stadium buzzing while Rettenegger had no chance against Riiber in the finish sprint.

The Norwegian won by 2.2 seconds ahead of Rettenegger, who achieved his best World Cup result with second place.

Meanwhile, Faisst fired up the turbo on the home straight and left Oftebro behind, securing the third rank 11.8 seconds behind the Norwegian.

With his victory, Riiber defends his lead in the WIRmachenDRUCK German Trophy and is also the winner of the Individual Compact Trophy, whose mini globe will be handed out as part of the final in Trondheim.
