Youth Cup: Harrachov (CZE) hosts successful season final

The final of the FIS Youth Cup 2023/24 took place on Sunday in Harrachov (CZE).

In contrast to the previous day, both the ski jumping and the cross-country part took place in Harrachov.

In the Boys I category, the day's victory went to Joergen Furfjord, who was already in the lead after the ski jumping.

On the 2.5 km cross-country course, the Norwegian narrowly beat Czech Jiri Kubalak (+1.2 sec), who took second place on home soil.

Nick Seidel (+12.3 sec) from Germany came third.

As on Saturday, Masa Likozar Brankovic from Slovenia won the Girls I category, confidently outrunning the competition on the 2.5 km route and reaching the finish with a lead of 1:02 minutes.

Leonie Runggaldier from Italy came second ahead of Ingrid Graesli (+1:06.1 min) from Norway.

In the Boys 2 category, like the day before, Ukrainian Illia Chebolda was in the lead after the Ski Jumping competition on HS 73. However, he was unable to defend his position against the strong competition and ultimately fell back to 11th place.

Instead, the day's victory went to Austrian Lukas Muehlbacher, who narrowly beat the previous day's winner Lukas Dolezal (+3.7 sec) from Czechia over 5 km. Norwegian Alvin Le (+7.7 seconds) completed the podium in third place.

The last competition of the season was the Girls II Gundersen and, like on Saturday, the winner came from Switzerland.

Giulia Belz won the 2.5 km cross-country race 10.1 seconds ahead of Ludovica Del Bianco from Italy and local hero Natalie Nejedlova (+1:47.9 min) from Czechia.
