Nathalie Armbruster is the winner of the women’s final Summer Grand Prix competition 2024.

Svenja Würth was in the lead after the Ski Jumping competition on La Côté Feuillée HS 118 this morning.

Beneath a blue sky, the German jumped the furthest distance of the day with 105.5 meters (109.2 pts) in the morning and took the lead. Therefore, she was the first one to start into the 6 km roller ski race at in the afternoon.

Rank 2 after jumping went to Minja Korhonen from Finland, who landed at 104.5 meters (106.4 pts) and went into the course 6 seconds after Würth, according to the fixed starting times in a Compact race.

Yesterday’s winner Jenny Nowak (104.5 mts, 104.2 pts) placed third, 12seconds behind her German team mate.

Korhonen quickly caught up with Würth, while strong skiers Jenny Nowak and Nathalie Armbruster rushed up from behind.

They joined the leading duo, with Armbruster taking the lead at the 2km mark, closely followed by Nowak (+0.6 sec), Würth (+2.4 sec) and Korhonen (+2.7 sec).

Ema Volavsek showed another strong skiing performance and reduced the gap to the leader to 7.6 seconds.

While Würth and Korhonen had to give up on the second lap, Volavsek closed the gap to the German leading duo of Armbruster and Nowak.

On the last lap, heavy rain suddenly set in, which made the asphalt slippery and led to several crashes.

Minja Korhonen, like Svenja Würth, was one of the unfortunate ones who fell and lost her chance to reach the podium.

The leading trio mastered the last corner before the heavy rain came on, so that Armbruster was able to launch an attack on the last climb and managed to pull a gap to her competitors.

She celebrated her second FIS Summer Grand Prix victory 2.1 seconds ahead of Ema Volavsek in second place and Jenny Nowak (+8.2 seconds) as third.

With her third place, Nowak secured the Overall Summer Grand Prix title ahead of Ema Volavsek and Nathalie Armbruster.
