The 2024-25 season of the Women’s Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup began in Lillehammer (NOR) with the first Provisional Competition Round (PCR) this evening. In light snowfall, 34 athletes from 10 nations competed on the Lysgårdsbakken HS98 after completing two training jumps.

Haruka Kasai of Japan claimed victory with an impressive 92-meter jump, earning a total of 102 points. Austria’s Claudia Puker secured second place with a jump of 85 meters and 97.8 points, while Ronja Loh from Germany took third with a solid 86.5-meter jump, scoring 97.2 points.

The standout jump of the day came from Germany’s Svenja Würth, who soared an incredible 100.5 meters. Unfortunately, a fall on landing left her in fifth place despite her remarkable effort.

The women’s first competition of the season continues tomorrow with the Individual Gundersen Ski Jumping round at 11:50 CET.
