PCR victory for Riiber in Otepää
Feb 06, 2025·Nordic CombinedThe Provisional Competition Round (PCR) for the Men’s Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup in Otepää, Estonia, took place this afternoon under a cloudy sky. A total of 57 athletes from 15 nations competed in two training jumps before the official PCR round.
Overall World Cup leader Jarl Magnus Riiber of Norway once again showcased his dominance, securing the top spot with a 99-meter jump and a total of 141.9 points. Austria’s Thomas Rettenegger matched Riiber’s jump distance but started from one gate higher, earning 133.5 points to take second place. Fellow Austrian Martin Fritz placed third with a 97.5-meter jump and 131.2 points.
The furthest jump of the day belonged to Germany’s David Mach, who reached 99.5 meters, finishing fourth with 130.4 points.
The first men’s competition in Otepää is set for tomorrow, featuring a 10km Mass Start event scheduled to begin at 15:45 EET.
