Jenny Nowak is in the winner of the first Individual Gundersen competition of the FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix 2024 in Tschagguns.

In rainy conditions the German PCR winner reached 91 meters, collected a total of 120.4 points in the morning at the Montafoner Schanzenzentrum HS103 and took the lead. Therefore, she was the first one to start into the 5 km roller ski race through Tschagguns this afternoon.

Rank 2 after jumping went to her team mate Maria Gerboth with the furthest jump of the day on 96.5 meters (119.7 pts), who went into the course only 3 seconds later.

Ida Marie Hagen (93.5 mts, 119.6 pts) from Norway placed third, also 3 seconds behind Nowak.

With a total of 12 athletes starting the race within in the first minute, a tough fight for the podium spots took place.

Austrian Lisa Hirner, who would have been the leader of the jumping round, was disqualified due to an irregular suit.

Nowak and Hagen went through the first 2.5 km together, meanwhile Ema Volavsek, who was 9thafter jumping, started to work her way up to the front, being in 6thposition at the first intermediate point.
On the last lap, Nowak managed to pull away from Hagen and secured her first Summer Grand Prix victory 6.8 sec ahead of the Norwegian.
Volavsek went into the home stretch together with Nathalie Armbruster and Veronica Gianmoena, and beat them narrowly, securing the third place 10.5 sec behind the winner.

With her victory, Jenny Nowak takes the lead in the Summer Grand Prix standings.
